About This Series

Silver (1903-1929) and copper-nickel-zinc (1937-1945) twenty-centavo coins. The earlier silver issues feature a standing female figure with a hammer, while the later base metal versions have a simplified design. The 1905 Proof Only issue and the wartime strikes from U.S. mints after the fall of Manila are notable in the series.
