Description
The 1938-M Philippine Twenty Centavos was struck at the Manila Mint and carries an M mint mark on the reverse, to the left of the date. From 1937 the twenty centavos kept Figueroa's obverse and the 4-gram, 75 percent silver standard of 1907. The reverse carries the arms of the Commonwealth of the Philippines, designed by Ambrosio Morales; the legend UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, the date and the mint letter run around them. The recorded mintage is 3,000,000. Catalogue numbers: KM-182. PCGS number 90332.
