Capped Head to Left Half Eagles 1813-1834

About This Series

Half eagles continuing John Reich's leftward-facing Liberty design through two size subtypes. The Large Size (1813-1829) and Reduced Size (1829-1834) types differ in diameter and production technology. Several dates have mintages under 30,000, making the series challenging to complete. The 1815 is a famous rarity with only 635 struck and fewer than a dozen known.
