The obverse is Melecio Figueroa's young woman in a flowing gown striking an anvil with a hammer, the smoking cone of Mount Mayon behind her, with the value above and FILIPINAS below. The reverse shows the American eagle over a striped shield, with UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and the date.
