The 1944 Philippine Twenty Centavos is a United States cent from the Philippines Twenty Centavos 1903-1945 series — a late issue, 25th of 26 years in the series. In 1944, coins were struck at the Denver Mint. The obverse features a female figure standing beside an anvil and the reverse displays an eagle above a shield. Produced during World War II, when the Mint altered coin compositions to conserve strategic metals for the war effort. A notable auction result reached $1.9K in MS67 grade at Heritage Auctions.
