Capped Head to Left Quarter Eagles 1821-1834

About This Series

Quarter eagles featuring John Reich's Capped Head design facing left, struck in very small quantities for specialized commerce. The Reduced Size type (1829-1834) used the close collar for uniform edges. Several dates had mintages under 5,000, making the entire series scarce. The 1826/5 overdate is a notable variety.
