About This Series

The last large-format dollar coin, honoring President Dwight D. Eisenhower with Frank Gasparro's design. The Apollo 11 eagle-landing reverse celebrates the moon landing. Circulation strikes are copper-nickel clad, while 40% silver collector versions were struck at San Francisco. The bicentennial 1776-1976 reverse depicts the Liberty Bell superimposed on the Moon.
