Pattern and circulation strike dollars designed by Christian Gobrecht, featuring a seated Liberty obverse and a soaring eagle reverse. These transitional coins bridge the gap between the Draped Bust and Seated Liberty dollar series. Various alignment and restrike combinations exist, making classification complex. The flying eagle reverse later influenced the design of the Flying Eagle cent.
