Kennedy half dollars struck in 40% silver clad composition during the transition away from silver coinage. The 1965-1967 coins lack mintmarks, while the 1968-1970 dates were struck at Denver and San Francisco. The 1970-D was included only in mint sets and is scarce in high grades.
