About This Series
Six additional quarter designs extending the State Quarters concept to the District of Columbia and five U.S. territories: Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa, U.S. Virgin Islands, and the Northern Mariana Islands. Released during the 2008-2009 financial crisis, these had significantly lower mintages than many State Quarters, making them relatively scarce in circulation.
