Description
2014P-50DER-001T is a Kennedy half dollar reverse: 2014 Philadelphia, 50 for the half dollar, DER for TrailDies' design extension reverse, file 001, T for trails. The stars above HALF DOLLAR carry trails offset at 100°, a little south of east. Its obverse is listed as 2014P-50DEO-001T. Both sides are middle state; on the obverse a crack is developing in Kennedy's lower neck and running into the field, and on the reverse a long, nearly vertical scratch lies to the right of the eagle's left wing. Phil Hammond found it. The prevailing view ties trails to a rotary buff used to polish the die, and a minority view ties them to the die moving against the hub.

- Stage “B“, obverse is MDS – a developing die crack is seen in Kennedy’s lower neck and into the field.
- Reverse is MDS – a long almost vertical die scratch is seen to the right of the eagles left wing.
