The $10 gold commemorative denomination, used for special programs requiring a larger gold coin. The 1984 Olympic eagle was the first issue, followed by coins for the Library of Congress and First Flight Centennial. The 2000 Library of Congress bimetallic gold-platinum coin is a unique issue in American numismatics. This denomination has been less frequently used than the $5 gold.
