The 1984 (W) Proof Los Angeles Olympiad Commemorative Ten Dollar Gold is a proof dollar struck at the West Point Mint, part of the Modern Commemorative Ten Dollar Gold (1984-2003) series. The U.S. Mint produced 381,085 examples. The obverse features designs varying by commemorative issue, while the reverse displays designs varying by commemorative issue. Designed by John M. Mercanti, James Peed. Struck in 90% gold, 10% copper, weighing 16.72 grams, 26.92 mm in diameter, with a reeded edge. Cataloged as PCGS #9617.
