Cataloged by VarietyVista with S/S North displacement, this 1968 San Francisco proof Washington Quarter carries a repunched S mintmark paired with reverse die variety RDV-007. Die markers: UVC-1174, DMR-011. Stage A: EDS (unconfirmed). Stage B: MDS (unconfirmed). Stage C: Obverse and reverse are LDS. The RDV-007 reverse die variety identification adds die-pairing documentation beyond the RPM, tracking which reverse variants paired with specific obverse dies. RPMs on proof coins are particularly collectible because proof dies generally receive more careful handling than business strike dies. John Flanagan's design was struck as a proof in copper-nickel clad (5.67 g, 24.26 mm).
