Description
A proof Washington quarter from 1968, struck at the San Francisco Mint with the "S" mintmark. Struck in standard copper-nickel clad composition, this coin was produced using specially prepared dies and polished planchets, resulting in mirror-like fields and frosted design elements characteristic of modern proof coinage. The obverse features John Flanagan's portrait of George Washington, and the reverse depicts a heraldic eagle.
