Description
The 1963 Roosevelt Dime, struck at the Philadelphia Mint, is part of the Roosevelt Silver Dimes 1946-1964 collection. The Philadelphia Mint struck 123,650,000 dimes dated 1963. The obverse features Franklin D. Roosevelt facing left, honoring the president who championed the March of Dimes and the reverse displays a torch flanked by olive and oak branches, symbolizing liberty, peace, and strength. Minted during the post-war economic boom, the final era of silver circulating coinage in the United States before the Coinage Act of 1965. The Philadelphia Mint, America's oldest coin-making facility, has struck coins continuously since 1792. Estimated market value ranges from $0.10 to $47 depending on grade and condition.
