Description
1963 WDDO-009 is a doubled die obverse on the 1963 Roosevelt dime, cataloged by the Wexler team. The lower parts of LIBER in LIBERTY show a partial second hubbing, and IN GOD WE TRUST looks mushy. Slightly above left center of LIBERTY's L, in the field, is a short, thick N/S scratch, and from the B's lower center a scratch heads south. On the reverse, many short N/S gouges lie under AMERICA's first A, a die chip (dot) sits low between the D and I of DIME, and two significant gouges mark the bottom of DIME's I. Joe Feld submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
