1963 Roosevelt Dime - Doubled Die Reverse WDDR-015

Description

1963 WDDR-015 is a doubled die reverse on the 1963 Roosevelt dime, cataloged by the Wexler team. UNITED shows a close spread toward the center. On the obverse, a curving E/W die crack crosses the hair atop the head. A strong NNE scratch leaves IN's N at its top left, a strong E/W scratch crosses the right side of LIBERTY's Y, and long N/S scratches mark the cheek and neck; many other scratches appear across the obverse. On the reverse, a short vertical gouge lies left of the upper part of UNITED's T, several horizontal scratches cross the upper E PLU, and many strong N/S scratches appear across the reverse. John A. Wexler submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
