1963 Roosevelt Dime - Doubled Die Reverse WDDR-024

Description

1963 WDDR-024 is a doubled die reverse on the 1963 Roosevelt dime, cataloged by the Wexler team. A counterclockwise (CCW) spread pivoting near 3:00 appears on ONE, UNITED STATES, E PLU of E PLURIBUS UNUM, the olive leaves, the dots, and the stem of the lower right olive leaves. Behind the neck is a series of scratches running in many directions, a scratch runs NNE from the date's 1 to the bust, and two heavy NNE scratches lie ahead of the forehead. On the reverse, a short gouge runs SW from STATES's E, starting near the middle of its lower bar's underside, and a long scratch runs SW from DIME's D to the rim. Joe Feld submitted the variety. CONECA lists it as 15-R-II+V.
