Description
The 1963 Doubled Die Obverse DDO-002 is a doubled die obverse (DDO) variety, where a misalignment during the die hubbing process created visible doubling on the obverse design elements. This variety was discovered on the 1963 Roosevelt Dime, part of the Roosevelt Silver Dimes 1946-1964 series. Die markers: UVC-397 DMR-004 Stage A: Small die gouge dot at upper back of head – EDS Reverse is EDS Stage B: Obverse and Reverse are MDS Stage C: Die crack across back of head – LDS Heavy abrasion around profile Reverse is LDS.
