Description

D/D Tilted (Rotated) Die Markers: Obverse: Stage A: Die scratches run between TY in LIBERTY. Die scratch NNE from the bottom of the E in LIBERTY. Stage B: Die gouge (dot) to the right of the bottom of the L in LIBERTY. Die scratch NNE from the bottom of the E in LIBERTY still present. Reverse: Stage A: Die scratch above UA in QUARTER. Die scratch above the mint mark between the leaves. Stage B: Die crack down the outside of the eagle’s right wing. Two die gouges NE from the top of the D in UNITED. A small die gouge (dot) can be found to the left of the eagle’s neck.
