Description
D/D Tilted (Rotated)Die Markers: Obverse: Many crisscrossing die scratches in the left obverse fields. Two die scratches connect the right side of the Y in LIBERTY to the rim above the right side of the T in LIBERTY. Short strong N/S die scratch behind the head. Strong NW/SE die scratch from the nose to the upper lip. NW/SE die scratches through the 5 in the date. Die gouge in the upper opening of the E in LIBERTY. Die gouges left of the top of the 1 in the date. Die gouge touches the bottom of the 1 in the date. Weak die gouge inside the upper opening of the 9 in the date. Reverse: Many thin crisscrossing die scratches in the fields. Weak die clash remnants through the branches. Multiple strong curving and intersecting die scratches above the upper oak leaves and below AMERICA. Curving die scratch through the U in UNITED. N/S die scratch below the last U in PLURIBUS. Long NW/SE die scratch behind the head. Die gouge below and to the right of the N in IN. Die gouge between the bottom of the B and E in LIBERTY. Reverse: Small die chip on the upper olive leaves. N/S die scratch between the A in STATES and the upper olive leaves. N/S die scratches through the olive branch. Strong NW/SE die scratch through the first U in PLURIBUS. Strong N/S die scratch between the right two oak leaf clusters. Strong die scratches connect the C and A in AMERICA. Die scratches between the E in DIME and the dot. Die gouge left of the upper olive leaves.
