Description

S/S WestDie Markers: Obverse: Two die gouges atop the upper right side of the hair. Light die scratch west from the lower left side of the L in LIBERTY that curves upward. Reverse: Numerous light N/S die scratches on the reverse. NNE/SSW die scratch connecting the first U in PLURIBUS to the olive branch. Two strong NNW/SSE die scratches connecting the stems of the upper oak leaf and the right upper oak leaf. Two strong SSE die scratches from the leaf oak leaf and the torch holder.Submitted By: Jeff LongeuayCross References: None known Obverse: About N/S die scratch inside the ear. N/S die scratch between the forehead and the Y in LIBERTY. Die scratch south from the upper right side of the second T in TRUST. Reverse : N/S die scratches through the TES of STATES. Die scratch pattern NW from the N of ONE to the PL of PLURIBUS then turning north and running up the left side of the olive and olive leaves. NNW/SSE die scratches through the upper right hand oak leaf.
