Description
S/S SouthDie Markers: Obverse: N/S die scratches at the bridge of the nose. E/W die scratches above and below the LI of LIBERTY. Die scratch nearly north from the top of the chin. Short die scratches south from below the chin. N/S die scratches in the field behind the neck. Reverse: N/S die scratch between the upper area of the D and I of DIME. N/S die scratch between the upper area of the I and M of DIME. Die scratch SE from the upper right side of the E in DIME. Die scratch south from the lower right side of the torch flame. Die chip on the olive stem above the R of PLURIBUS.Submitted By: Jeff LongeuayCross References: None known Obverse: Die chip at the top of the lower inside hole of the B in LIBERTY. Die chip between the head and the R in LIBERTY. Reverse : Weak WNW/ESE die scratch center on the flame of the torch. Light die swirls on the olive leaves that touch the torch. Die chip on the tip and below the tip of the center of the olive leaf cluster that touches the torch.
