Description
S/S/S West and WestDie Markers: Obverse: LDS. Old N/S die scratches above and below the nose. Reverse: LDS. Die crack runs from the rim, through the last S in STATES, and down the right side of the flame. NW/SE die scratch left of the upper olive. Thin N/S die scratches, likely related to a die clash, between the lower olive and the L in PLURIBUS. Weak NW/SE die scratch through the E in ONE. Thin die scratch extends SE from the bottom of the torch. Thin die scratch extends S from the last U in PLURIBUS. Reverse: Strong die scratch extends S from the first T in STATES towards the left olive leaf cluster. Strong die scratch extends S from the upper olive. Strong NNW/SSE die scratch in the last U in PLURIBUS. Strong NNW/SSE die scratch on the torch right of the overlapping olive leaves. Die gouge between the upper O and N in ONE. Die gouge below the left side of the E in UNITED.
