Description
D/D Northwest Die Markers: Obverse: Die scratches north from the beard and nose. Lathe marks near the rim above the D in GOD, WE and the first T in TRUST. Lathe marks near the rim from the back of the bust that runs past the front of the bust. Die gouge on the bottom of the jacket near the fold. Heavy die gouge through the bottom of the lapel fold. Long die gouge under the front of the bust. Reverse: NW/SE feeder finger die scratch through the left wheat lines positioned opposite the C in CENT. Die scratch from the bottom of the S of PLURIBUS to the first U of UNUM.
