Description

Class V doubling shows on IN GOD WE TRUST. Die Markers: Obverse: A series of vertical die scratches run through WE. Diagonal die scratches run through TRUST. Vertical die scratches run through the date, mint mark and front of Lincoln’s jacket. A series of die scratches run north from Lincoln’s upper forehead and front hair curl. A concentric die scratch runs near the rim from the right of the date to the back of Lincoln’s bust. Reverse: A series of vertical die scratches run through and left of the N in ONE. Vertical die scratches run through the letters E and N in CENT. Vertical die scratches show to the right of the letter T in CENT. Numerous, vertical die scratches run through most of the letters in UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.
