Description

Obverse Stage A: Die Markers: Obverse Stage A: Die gouge from the rim between GOD and WE. Lathe marks near the rim at GOD, WE and below the back of the bust. Obverse Stage B: Weaker secondary mint mark. Weaker die gouge at GOD WE. Lathe marks still present. Obverse Stage C: Secondary mint mark only shows inside the primary mint mark. Die gouge very weak. Lathe marks abraded away. Obverse Stage D: Die gouge abraded away. Reverse Stage A: Die scratch connecting the tops of the I and B in PLURIBUS. Die scratch west from the left side of the second U in PLURIBUS positioned slightly above center. Reverse Stage B: Die scratches are weaker. Reverse Stage C: Die scratches abraded away. Reverse Stage D: Weak chipped die crack on the contour of the left wheat ear at the left side wheat lines. Die crack in the center of the left wheat grains closer to the top.
