Flowing Hair Half Dimes 1794-1795

About This Series

Among the earliest coins produced by the United States Mint, featuring a small Liberty portrait with flowing hair and a small eagle on the reverse. Robert Scot engraved the design based on the same motif used for the dollar and half dollar. Approximately 86,000 were struck across both years, making survivors scarce in all grades.
