John Reich's Capped Bust design on the dime, featuring Liberty wearing a mob cap. The early Large Size type (1809-1828) and later Reduced Size type (1828-1837) differ in diameter after the introduction of the close collar in 1828. The 1822 is a major rarity, while numerous die varieties attract specialists throughout the series.
