Authorized as a companion bullion program, these oversized three-inch diameter quarters contain five troy ounces (155.517 grams) of .999 fine silver, reproducing circulating ATB quarter designs on a dramatically larger canvas. At 76.2 mm, they dwarf standard quarters by more than three times, revealing design details invisible on the 25-cent versions. The Philadelphia Mint struck bullion versions without a mint mark, while the uncirculated collector versions carry a P mint mark and a vapor-blasted finish. Bullion versions were distributed through authorized dealers; the Mint sold uncirculated versions directly, often with limits creating secondary market premiums upon sellout. Each year's five designs matched the circulating program, from Hot Springs (Arkansas) through Tuskegee Airmen (Alabama) in 2021.
