Description
2022-P AMW WDDO-001 is a doubled die obverse on the 2022-P Anna May Wong quarter (American Women series), cataloged by the Wexler team. Strong extra thickness shows on the 22 of the date and on the P mintmark. The obverse is the doubled working hub WWHO-001, and the reverse carries the master die doubling WMDR-001. Obverse markers: a gouge over the second 2 of the date; a gouge right of the P mintmark; many small gouges to the right of IN GOD WE TRUST; and two gouges under the T in LIBERTY. Reverse markers: a chip on Wong's raised fingertip and a gouge below that fingertip; a gouge over the first N in ANNA; many gouges around and to the left of the W in WONG; gouges between the R and T of QUARTER; a gouge far under the L in PLURIBUS; and a gouge inside the U of UNITED. Bill Kerr submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
