2010 (D) Lincoln Shield Cent - D-1DER-002T Trail Die Reverse

Description

Trails on 2010D-1DER-002T come off the F of OF, the AM of AMERICA and the NUM of UNUM, and run at 170°, a little east of due south, so they lean slightly right as they drop. The code gives the year and mint as 2010D, then the denomination 1, then DER, which TrailDies uses for the reverse, then file 002 and T. On TrailDies' middle-die-state coin there is die damage just left of the 2 in the date; no reverse markers are given. Albert Neils found it. As with other trail dies, the likely cause is rotary polishing of the die, though some hold that the die moved against the hub.
