Description
1964-D WDDO-014 is a doubled die obverse on the 1964-D Washington quarter, cataloged by the Wexler team. On the upper part of the 6 in the date there is a significant counterclockwise (CCW) spread. On the obverse, a short, strong gouge heads west off the tops of the L and I in LIBERTY. On the reverse, a small gouge (dot) lies inside the lower C in AMERICA, under the arrows' back ends lie SW/NE scratches, and a gouge crosses the lower part of the leaf right of the back of the arrows. Evan Goldfarb submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
