Description
1964-D WDDO-001 is a doubled die obverse on the 1964-D Washington quarter, cataloged by the Wexler team. A spread toward the center appears on IN GOD WE TRUST, and the date shows a counterclockwise (CCW) spread pivoting from about 12:00. On the obverse, a scratch heads SW off the lower N of IN, and near the rim left of the first T in TRUST a NW/SE scratch runs. On the reverse, between UNITED's D and the first S in STATES there are two heavy SW/NE scratches. John A. Wexler submitted the variety. CONECA lists it as 1-O-II, and Cherrypickers as FS-25-1964D-101. Wexler includes it in its "Best Of" varieties.
