Description

1964-D WDDO-012 is a doubled die obverse on the 1964-D Washington quarter, cataloged by the Wexler team. A spread toward the center appears on the lower queue, the designer's initials and the date. On the obverse, three scratches link the E of WE with the upper neck; a short gouge extends off the E in LIBERTY, below the right end of its center bar; a scratch heads SE off the R in LIBERTY from its lower right; a crack crosses the bust's base and, on the right, enters the lower queue; and a heavy E/W crack crosses the upper hair. Wexler notes no reverse markers. Joe Feld submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
