Description
A close CCW spread from a pivot at about 1:00 shows on IGWT, the date, the designer’s initials, and the lower queue. Die Markers: Obverse: A die scratch runs SW from the upper left of the L in LIBERTY. A heavy die crack runs across the base of the bust curving south on the left to the top of the one and into the lower queue on the right. A separate die crack runs SE from the lower queue to the rim at about 4:30. Reverse: A die gouge (dot) can be found just under the point of the eagle’s beak. A die crack runs down the eagle’s right wing extending to the upper Q in QUARTER. A die crack runs from the US in PLURIBUS down the left wing to the lower I in AMERICA. Obverse:
