Description
Notches show on the upper left E and Y in LIBERTY and the lower right I, R, T, and Y in LIBERTY. Doubling also shows on the upper 6 in the date. Die Markers: Obverse: A short strong vertical die gouge can be found between the centers of the 9 and 6 in the date. A die scratch runs SW from the lower left of the L in LIBERTY. A light die crack runs across the base of the bust extending into the lower queue. A small die gouge (dot) can be found on the bottom right side of the ribbon. Reverse: A die crack runs through the lower right wing to the lower left of the Q in QUARTER. A large die chip can be seen on the lower back of the eagle’s head. Obverse:
