Description
1963-D WRPM-003 is a repunched mint mark on the 1963-D Washington quarter, cataloged by the Wexler team. The mint mark is a D/D, tilted (rotated). On the obverse, thin N/S and NW/SE scratches cover the obverse, a NW/SE scratch lies in front of the chin, and left of the 6 in the date there is a gouge. On the reverse, thin N/S scratches cover the reverse, strong gouges cross the eagle's neck, gouges lie over the left claw, far below the U in UNITED there is a strong scratch, and strong scratches join the bottoms of the TE in QUARTER. Keith Christenson submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
