1963-D Doubled Die Obverse WDDO-001

Description

A strong spread towards the center shows on IGWT, the date, the designer’s initials, and the lower queue. A CCW spread from a pivot at about 7:00 shows on LIBERTY. Die Markers: Obverse: Two parallel die scratches run ESE from the 9 to the 6 in the date. A die gouge (dot) can be found to the left of the lower 6. Reverse: A die crack runs down the eagle’s right wing. A horizontal die scratch can be found inside the lower N of UNITED. Obverse:
