1958 (D) Roosevelt Dime - Repunched Mintmark WRPM-011

Description

1958-D WRPM-011 is a repunched mint mark on the 1958-D Roosevelt dime, cataloged by the Wexler team. Wexler describes it as D/D Tilted (Rotated). GOD has a Straight G. A chipped die crack sits on the nose above the nostril, and left of the lower part of LIBERTY's L is a short scratch Wexler gives as N by W/E by S. On the reverse, heavy multi-directional scratches cover the upper olive leaf and the field around it, die chips sit on that leaf, and a N/S die crack lies slightly right of center on the torch holder's base. Ben Peters submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
