Description
1957-D WRPM-001 is a repunched mint mark on the 1957-D Jefferson nickel, cataloged by the Wexler team. The secondary D is tilted (rotated) relative to the primary (D/D Tilted (Rotated)). On the obverse, a short vertical die scratch lies left of the bridge of the nose. On the reverse, a scratch heads SW off MONTICELLO's M, from its bottom left, and a light SW/NE scratch crosses the upper O in OF. Eric Axtel submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
