1954 (D) Roosevelt Dime - Repunched Mintmark WRPM-008

Description

1954-D WRPM-008 is a repunched mint mark on the 1954-D Roosevelt dime, cataloged by the Wexler team. Wexler describes it as D/D Tilted (Rotated). On the obverse, an ESE/WNW die crack sits on the upper front of the hair. Another crack runs SSE from the rim at 12:45 a little way into the hair, reaches a die chip, then turns SE along the hair. On the reverse, a NNE scratch leaves the L in PLURIBUS from its lower left inside, and a die chip sits on the right side of the upper right olive leaf. Tony Russo submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
