1954 (D) Roosevelt Dime - Repunched Mintmark WRPM-001

Description

1954-D WRPM-001 is a repunched mint mark on the 1954-D Roosevelt dime, cataloged by the Wexler team. Wexler describes it as D/D Tilted (Rotated). On the obverse, a N/S scratch sits in the field over the S of TRUST, a small gouge sits centered under the S and T of TRUST, with a small die chip (dot) centered between those letters. On the reverse, NW scratches start at the top of PLURIBUS's R and cross the lower olive limb, and a scratch runs south off the lower right of UNITED's N. John A. Wexler submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
