1954 (D) Roosevelt Dime - Repunched Mintmark WRPM-007

Description

1954-D WRPM-007 is a repunched mint mark on the 1954-D Roosevelt dime, cataloged by the Wexler team. Wexler describes it as D/D Tilted (Rotated). The obverse has a light NE/SW scratch in the fields. On the reverse, a medium die chip lies at the U's upper left in UNITED, and a scratch runs roughly west from the lower right of UNITED's N. A right-leaning X-shaped scratch marks the upper olive leaf; from the L in PLURIBUS, at its top, a scratch runs north by east to the left olive's stem; and many scratches cover the fields. Tony Russo submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
