1953 (S) Jefferson Nickel - Repunched Mintmark WRPM-005

Description

1953-S WRPM-005 is a repunched mint mark on the 1953-S Jefferson nickel, cataloged by the Wexler team. A secondary S lies west of the primary S (S/S West). On the obverse, a small die gouge sits inside the G of GOD, and a scratch heads east off the knot in the queue's ribbon. On the reverse, a short gouge heads NE off the B in PLURIBUS, from its top right, and a SW/NE scratch lies right of the upper S in PLURIBUS. Scott Rusch submitted the variety. CONECA lists it as RPM #1.
