1951 (S) Jefferson Nickel - Repunched Mintmark WRPM-001

Description

1951-S WRPM-001 is a repunched mint mark on the 1951-S Jefferson nickel, cataloged by the Wexler team. A secondary S lies west of the primary S (S/S West). On the obverse, two die scratches head SE off the underside of the chin, and many other scratches appear across the obverse. On the reverse, a small gouge lies above and right of the second T in STATES, while another small gouge sits left of the second S in STATES. Brian Ribar submitted the variety. CONECA lists it as RPM #6.
