Description
Obverse Stage B: Die Markers: Obverse Stage A: Arcing die scratch below the S of TRUST. Die scratch runs south from the bottom of the L of LIBERTY. Die chip to the lower right edge of the mint mark. Obverse Stage B: Clashed dies right of the throat. Multiple die scratches run north from the top area of the 1 of date. NW/SE die scratches above the Y of LIBERTY. Reverse Stage A: Thin die crack on the left upper wheat stalk continues north ending nearly to the top of the E of E PLURIBUS. Die gouge on the top edge of the right arm of the last U of UNUM. Die scratch runs south from the E of UNITED ending on the right edge of the first A of AMERICA. Die gouge on the right lower edge of the right wheat stalk; die chip in line and below the die gouge. Reverse Stage B: Stage A die crack now in stage B has the field above and around the top of the left wheat has multiple die scratches with no trace of the die crack in the field between the top of the left wheat stalk and the E of E PLURIBUS; die crack continues south on and along the inside of the left side of the left wheat stalk ending half way down. Strong diagonal die scratches run through the left wheat stem. Obverse Stage A:
