Description

1949-S WRPM-032 is a repunched mint mark on the 1949-S Lincoln Wheat cent, cataloged by the Wexler team. Wexler describes it as S/S East: the secondary S lies east of the primary. Obverse markers: scratches at the upper forehead and hairline; a gouge at the back of the eyelid; N/S scratches heading north from the tops of RTY in LIBERTY, heaviest above the T; and N/S scratches around the 19 of the date. Reverse markers: scratches heading north from the top of the C in CENT; a short N/S scratch inside the upper E of CENT; and several southward scratches between AMERICA's C and A. David Bloomberg submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
