Description
1947-D WRPM-029 is a repunched mint mark on the 1947-D Lincoln Wheat cent, cataloged by the Wexler team. Wexler describes it as D/D Tilted (Rotated): the extra D is rotated relative to the primary. Obverse markers: a gouge running SE from the bowtie to the date's 1; a northward scratch from the 1's lower right side; a scratch at the back of the neck heading NW, following the edge of the lower part of the head; and a NE scratch from the top of LIBERTY's T. Reverse markers: east-west scratches that start at ONE's O and end inside its N, and two scratches from the lower left wheat stalk that end at the right edge of OF's O. Brian Ribar submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
